A Kentucky mother claims she saw the “hand of God” cradling her unborn baby’s head during an ultrasound. The viral image has touched thousands online.

A Miracle in the Making

A Kentucky mom says she witnessed a true miracle during a recent pregnancy scan — the image of a giant hand cradling her baby’s head.

Amanda Foster, 33, shared the ultrasound on Facebook in April 2022, telling friends that her unborn son Jay had “healthy kidneys, no cysts, and perfect blood flow.” For Amanda, this news was especially emotional, since doctors once told her it would be nearly impossible to have a healthy baby boy.

Her fears were rooted in Potter syndrome, a rare and often life-threatening condition that affects kidney growth. Amanda lost her first child, Xavier, to the illness at just 20 weeks — a heartbreak that left her questioning her faith.

A Family’s Journey of Faith

Despite the grief, Amanda and her husband Kyle later welcomed two healthy daughters. Then, in August 2022, they finally welcomed their first son, Jay.

Fast forward to today: Amanda is pregnant again with another boy, Kyler. But doctors discovered a serious heart defect in this pregnancy, raising new fears for the family.

Before every scan, Amanda says she prayed:

“I’ve asked the Lord repeatedly to please keep His hand on my baby and whatever His plan may be, to help me trust in it.”

The Viral Ultrasound

During a recent high-risk checkup, Amanda brought along her daughter Bailey. When the ultrasound image appeared, Bailey was the first to point it out — a large hand-like shape holding Kyler’s head.

Amanda described the moment in her now-viral post:

“In one of his pictures it has the appearance of a hand holding his head. My daughter asked me whose hand that was. I couldn’t hold back the tears.”

Amanda believes the image shows the hand of God protecting her baby, a sign that gave her peace and renewed faith.

A Growing, Healthy Baby

On June 20, Amanda shared another update. At 36 weeks, Kyler weighed over 7 pounds — her “biggest baby yet.” She wrote:

“They monitored his practice breathing today. His heart rate was 132. His sweet little face, I cannot wait to have him in my arms!”

For Amanda and her family, the ultrasound image is more than just a medical scan — it’s a powerful reminder of faith, love, and hope.
