Anthony Loffredo, known as the “Black Alien,” has removed his nose, ears, and even fingers in his shocking transformation. Here’s what he looked like before.
From Security Guard to “Black Alien”
Anthony Loffredo, a 34-year-old from France, has earned global fame — and controversy — for transforming himself into what he calls the “Black Alien.”
Fascinated with body modification since childhood, his journey began with bodybuilding, but he quickly pushed into far more extreme territory. Today, his appearance is almost unrecognizable from his younger years.
The Black Alien Project
Loffredo has spent the past decade reshaping himself through tattoos, implants, piercings, and surgeries.
-
Full-body tattoos, including his face and eyes
-
Tongue split into two
-
Removal of his ears and upper lip
-
Subdermal implants across his head and arms
-
Amputation of two fingers to create an “alien claw”
Despite these drastic changes, he claims his transformation is only about 34% complete. His future plans include replacing skin with metal and altering his limbs and skull to push his look even further.
A Life-Changing Decision
At age 24, Loffredo left his job as a security guard to fully dedicate himself to his transformation. He briefly moved to Australia before returning to Europe, where most of his procedures have been carried out.
Because of strict laws in France, some surgeries — such as removing his nose — had to be performed abroad, particularly in Spain, where he now lives.
Admiration, Criticism, and Challenges
While his appearance divides opinion, Loffredo says he doesn’t regret his choices.
“The only thing I regret is not starting sooner,” he once admitted.
He regularly shares updates with his 850,000+ Instagram followers, drawing both admiration and heavy criticism. Surprisingly, he insists he has no trouble attracting attention from romantic partners.
His mother has also stood by him, once saying in a touching tribute: “A mother would never judge her son.”
Still, challenges remain. Finding stable employment has been difficult due to his appearance, and he has spoken openly about the stigma and rejection he faces daily.
What’s Next for the Black Alien?
Now based in Barcelona, Anthony Loffredo continues to expand his project. He hopes to travel across Europe to document how different cultures react to his alien-inspired look — turning his personal transformation into a social experiment.
With each new step, Loffredo pushes the boundaries of identity, beauty, and self-expression, sparking conversations about how far human modification can go.
