A motorcyclist found an abandoned Golden Retriever on a bridge with a heartbreaking note written by a 7-year-old girl. This emotional rescue led to the creation of Daisy’s Angels, a charity saving animals in need.
It was past midnight when a motorcyclist crossed Cedar Creek Bridge and noticed something moving near the guardrail. Stopping to check, he discovered a thin and weak Golden Retriever curled up on the cold ground. The dog, later identified as Daisy, was dehydrated, trembling, and suffering from a painful lump on her belly.
Beside Daisy were a small bowl of water, a worn-out stuffed duck toy, and two handwritten notes.

The first, written by an adult, explained that the family loved Daisy but could no longer afford her medical care.

The second note, scribbled in colorful crayon, broke the motorcyclist’s heart. It was from Madison, age 7, who wrote:
“Please take care of Daisy. I love her so much. This is all I have – $7.43 from the tooth fairy. I believe angels on motorcycles will help Daisy.”
A Race to Save Daisy
The rider wrapped Daisy in his jacket and rushed her to a veterinary clinic. The vet team worked tirelessly—treating her dehydration, infection, and tumor. Against the odds, Daisy survived.
When Madison was told her beloved dog was alive, her voice cracked with joy. From that day on, she visited Daisy often, helping with treatments, cleaning wounds, and whispering words of encouragement.
Love, Loss, and a Legacy
Daisy regained strength but later faced health setbacks. Eventually, her body grew too weak. Surrounded by love, she passed peacefully in a flower garden, with Madison holding her favorite toy duck.
Though devastated, Madison turned grief into purpose. With the help of neighbors, bikers, and veterinarians, she founded “Daisy’s Angels”—a charity supporting sick, abandoned, and neglected animals. Children donate coins, bikers organize rides and fundraisers, and together they give dogs like Daisy a second chance.
So far, Daisy’s Angels has rescued 17 dogs, each with its own story of survival and hope.
A Child’s Message of Hope
When asked where her courage comes from, Madison points to her crayon note and says:
“If angels can ride motorcycles to help Daisy, they can help any dog who needs it.”
