Every Wrinkle on Your Face Sends a Message About Your Health, Here Are 15 Things They Reveal

As much as we don’t like wrinkles, they’re a natural part of aging. They’re a sign that we’re slowly but inevitably growing older. But other than showing age, every wrinkle has its own special meaning and reveals a lot of fascinating details about our bodies and our health.

We at Bright Side learned some pretty useful information about how the wrinkles on our face are indicators of more than just age, and we want to share our findings with you.

1. Horizontal forehead lines

The horizontal lines that appear on your forehead are called “Worry Lines,” and rightly so. Having these lines on your forehead is mainly an indicator that you encounter and hold onto a big amount of stress on a daily basis, and if they are particularly accentuated it means that you should slow down and relax more often.

Additionally, these lines can also be a sign that you may consume larger quantities of sugar and not enough water. So, if you have these lines, you might want to address the quality of your diet and pick up a hobby that you find relaxing.

2. Left eyebrow lines

The left eyebrow lines on your face have a direct correlation with your spleen. If you notice that the lines near your left eyebrow are becoming increasingly prominent over a short amount of time, it could be a sign that your spleen is working incorrectly and may possibly be damaged. In this situation, don’t hesitate to consult with a medical professional.

Furthermore, the spleen is stimulated and strengthened with certain sweet foods, but be cautious about the amount of sugar you take in, as it can be harmful to the spleen. Consuming dried fruits is a great way to strengthen this organ.

3. Right eyebrow lines

The lines near your right eyebrow are an indicator of the level of toxicity in your body. The liver is strongly connected with the skin, specifically, the lines that appear near your right eyebrow. So, if those vertical lines appear more noticeably than usual, it might be a sign of liver imbalance.

To remedy this, change to an organic diet that includes green vegetables and leafy greens, and consume a healthy amount of clear protein. At the same time, try cutting back your intake of coffee, spicy foods, and salt.

4. Nose bridge line

Having a line across the bridge of your nose can mean that you suffer from allergies, but it can also indicate excessive worrying and stress. Furthermore, nose bridge lines are also connected to your love life, specifically your libido.

Having more emphasized nose bridge lines can indicate that you may be experiencing a lower sexual sex drive than usual. Spicing up your love life may help you reduce your nose bridge lines.

5. Crow’s feet

Crow’s feet refer to the lines that radiate out from the sides of your eyes. If you have prominent crow’s feet, it can mean that you smile with your entire face, therefore you move your face in a way that it creates these lines. But, it can also mean that you have trouble with your eyesight and that you often squint to try and see better.

Moreover, crow’s feet are connected with organs like the liver, the kidneys, and the stomach. If you notice that these lines on the sides of your eyes are becoming drastically more noticeable, it can mean that you have to take better care of your diet.

6. Under-eye circles or bags

Circles under your eyes, or bags, as many call them, are a natural phenomenon that happens when we don’t get enough sleep. They are called bags because they make the eyes saggy and appear as though we have actual bags under our eyes. But, under-eye circles are also an indicator of other health conditions.

Having bags under your eyes regularly, even when you’re getting plenty of sleep, may indicate weaker kidneys and poor circulation. In this situation, try exercises like yoga or light jogging in order to improve your circulation.

7. Discoloration on the cheeks

Tender areas on the cheeks indicate certain health issues like lung problems. If you notice certain discolorations on the cheeks, then you might be experiencing lung problems, and if you have trouble breathing, you should immediately seek medical attention.

Tenderness on the cheeks is also connected to digestive problems. In this case, we would recommend that you improve your diet. Another healthy exercise that improves both digestion and lung health is jogging, which is highly recommended.

8. Red-tipped nose

Even though in the winter having a red-tipped nose is common, if you notice that your nose is becoming reddish in under other normal circumstances, it may have something to do with your circulation or heart. The nose is connected to the heart and can indicate certain problems with your blood pressure.

We don’t recommend dealing with this situation with home remedies, so if you continue to notice an imbalance in your blood pressure the best thing to do is to visit your doctor. If it’s nothing serious, a red nose may mean that you should cut back on coffee and spicy foods. Additionally, foods rich in fatty acids, like avocadoes, are a great way to boost your health and regulate your blood pressure.

9. Mouth lines

Lines that appear on the side of the mouth are connected to the colon. If you notice that these lines are getting more noticeable over a short period of time, it may be your body signaling to you that your colon is not as healthy as it should be.

Luckily, the colon is a part of the body that is easy to revitalize and bring back to tip-top shape. Drinking plenty of fluids, eating vitamin D rich foods, and exercising regularly are some of the best ways to maintain a healthy colon.

10. Laugh lines

If you are the kind of person that constantly laughs, and when you do, you do it with your whole face, then chances are you have some laugh lines already visible on your face. The repetitive movements caused by laughing create a pattern and are likely to develop into deep laugh lines over time. There really isn’t much to do about these lines that are created by laughing, because they are just an indicator of the real you.

While it’s healthy to accept these lines as something that represents who you are, if you notice that the laugh lines start spreading and become deeper over a short period of time, it might be a signal that your pancreas is weakening. Adding healthy foods to your diet like blueberries, grapes, and garlic can help you maintain a healthy pancreas.

11. Lines on your upper lip

Developing deep vertical lines on your upper lip is a regular occurrence among smokers. Even though lips become less puffy and more deflated as we age, the primary cause of vertical lip lines is smoking and excessive sun exposure. Repetitive motions like drinking through a straw also contribute to the appearance of these lines.

However, lip wrinkles are also associated with the spleen and they may indicate a weak spleen. Improving your diet with a variety of vegetables, including carrots and turnips, can be helpful for the health of your spleen.

12. Spots that appear on your lips

Spots on your lips that appear as white bumps may indicate poor circulation. Although they pose no major threat to your health, these spots may also signal problems with the colon. To improve your circulation, you should consider indulging in light but frequent physical activities like jogging or yoga.

In order to maintain good colon health, try adding fiber-rich foods to your diet. And if you are experiencing more serious symptoms that include pain or bleeding, don’t hesitate to see a medical professional.

13. Neck lines

Neck lines are natural phenomenon and they become more prominent as we age. They can be a result of being overweight, and they can also signal health issues with the thyroid gland. The neck lines are connected to the thyroid gland and can indicate that something is wrong.

The thyroid gland health can be improved by taking zinc pills and reducing gluten intake in your diet. However, if the condition of the thyroid gland seems to be worsening over time, it’s best to seek medical attention.

14. Lines below your lower lip

Lines that are created just below the lip and just the above the chin mean that you may be piling up negative energy. Holding on to negative energy is bad for your health overall, and this can be reflected below the lower lip.

If you notice that this line below your lower lip is getting more prominent, make sure to take some time to relax and let go of any negative feelings you are harboring.

15. Prominent temple veins

Prominent temple veins that stretch around the sides of the forehead are an indicator of high blood pressure. This can mean that you are harboring a lot of stress. Fortunately, you can lower your blood pressure easily by practicing yoga or going for a walk.

Furthermore, eating bananas is a natural way to reduce blood pressure as it involves cutting back on salt consumption. Also, you should consider exercising more regularly as a way to maintain a more stable blood pressure. Nonetheless, if these veins persist, you should consult with a medical professional.
